New Delhi: In a significant stride towards gender inclusivity and women empowerment, Power Grid has declared its 220/66 kV Chandigarh Process Bus-based Digital GIS Sub-station as a “Pink Substation.” This development marks the first greenfield substation in Power Grid’s Northern Region-II to adopt process bus technology, alongside becoming a pioneering Pink Substation.

The Pink Substations initiative is a part of Power Grid’s broader commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace. These substations are exclusively operated and managed by women executives, reflecting the company's dedication to gender equality. The newly inaugurated substation in Chandigarh is led by Power Grid's Chief Manager Simrit Powar.
