New Delhi: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) paid Rs 2067.68 crore as second interim dividend for FY 2023-24 to Government of India on Tuesday at Ministry of Power, New Delhi.

A cheque amounting to Rs 2067,68,20,860 was presented to Union Minister of Power, New and Renewable Energy RK Singh in presence of Secretary (Power) Pankaj Agarwal, Power Grid CMD RK Tyagi, Power Grid Director (Finance) G Ravisankar, Power Grid Director (Projects) Abhay Choudhary, Power Grid Director (Personnel) Dr Yatindra Dwivedi, Power Grid's Independent Directors Chetan Bansilal Kankariya and Ram Naresh Tiwari and Executive Directors of Power Grid.

As on February 29, Power Grid has commissioned and operating 276 Sub-stations and more than 1,76,762 ckm transmission lines and 5,22,046 MVA of transformation capacity. With the adoption of latest technological tools and techniques, enhanced use of automation and digital solutions, POWERGRID has been able to maintain average transmission system availability of 99.86 percent.
