The awarded projects, designated as Parts A and B, will see the establishment of two new substations: a 765/400/220 kV Bikaner IV Pooling Substation and a 765/400 kV Siwani Substation. Both substations will be equipped with state-of-the-art Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM) technology, enhancing voltage stability and transmission efficiency within the grid.

In addition to these substations, the scope of work includes the construction of 765 kV double-circuit (D/C) transmission lines spanning the states of Rajasthan and Haryana. Several 400 kV double-circuit transmission lines will also be constructed across Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana. These projects will further involve bay extension works at existing substations to improve transmission infrastructure.

The primary objective of these projects is to facilitate the evacuation of an additional 6 GW of renewable energy from the Bikaner Complex (Bikaner-IV), a key renewable energy hub in Rajasthan. The newly established transmission infrastructure will ensure efficient transfer of power from this region to critical load centres across northern India, significantly contributing to the nation's growing energy needs and renewable energy targets.
