
New Delhi: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), a central public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Power, has been declared the successful bidder for an inter-state transmission project under the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process.
The project, titled “Transmission System for Evacuation of Power from Mahan Energen Limited Generating Station in Madhya Pradesh,” will be developed on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) basis.
According to the company’s filing with stock exchanges, Power Grid received the Letter of Intent (LoI) on April 1, 2025, after being declared the winning bidder. The transmission project includes the construction of a 400kV double-circuit (D/C) transmission line and associated bays at the existing Rewa Power Station (PG) substation in Madhya Pradesh.
