Self Help Groups put stalls to promote local handicrafts at MCL

Sambalpur: Self Help Groups have put five stalls to promote the local handicrafts and food products, as a part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2023 at Mahanadi Coalfields Limited's (MCL) headquarters in Sambalpur.

The five SHGs namely Jai Maa Laxmi SHG, Modipada, Sambalpur, Balunkeswar Baba SHG, Nandapada, Sambalpur, Brundabati SHG, Taliapada, Sambalpur, Radharani SHG, Paramanpur, Matrushakti SHG, Sambalpur are exhibiting their stalls. The stalls showcase various traditional handicrafts, handlooms and food products whereas BAIF Development Research Foundation, Sambalpur is exhibiting innovative initiatives under CCDP-Utthan project of MCL, according to an official release by MCL.

The stalls are on display from November 1 to November 2 at MCL premises in Sambalpur.

MCL's Chairman-cum-Managing Director (Addl. charge) Keshav Rao inaugurated the stalls in the presence of MCL's Chief Vigilance Officer PK Patel, Director (Finance) A K Behura, Director (Tech/Project & Planning) A S Bapat among other senior officers, said the official release by MCL.
