RailTel AI Workshop 2026 explores infrastructure, cybersecurity and responsible AI adoption

New Delhi: RailTel Corporation of India organised the RailTel AI Workshop 2026, bringing together stakeholders from the government, public sector undertakings and technology industry to discuss the infrastructure and capabilities required for effective and responsible adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The workshop focused on key areas including AI infrastructure, cybersecurity, interoperability, scalability, skills development and responsible AI deployment.

Industry perspectives on technologies and infrastructure supporting AI adoption were presented by Nitin Gupta, Lead – GenAI & Cloud Strategy, Google, and Prabhas Harlapur, Lead Solutions Architect, Intel.

The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Manoj Tandon, Director/POM, RailTel.

The discussions highlighted the importance of collaboration among government organisations, PSUs, technology companies and the broader innovation ecosystem in accelerating the adoption of AI.

RailTel has been strengthening its capabilities in AI and other emerging technologies as part of its broader Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and digital transformation initiatives.

The deliberations at the workshop are expected to support the identification of scalable AI use cases, improve understanding of implementation requirements and contribute to building an ecosystem for the responsible deployment of AI in governance and public services.
