New Delhi: REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of REC Limited, has handed over the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) of the Lakadia B Power Transmission Project to Reliance Industries Limited (RIL). The transfer ceremony took place on Friday in Gurugram.

Reliance Industries Limited secured the project as the Transmission Service Provider (TSP) through a Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process conducted by RECPDCL, acting as the Bid Process Coordinator. The project will be executed on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) basis.

The SPV was officially handed over by RECPDCL's CEO TSC Bosh to , Reliance Industries Limited's Senior Vice President N Vaidyanathan. The event was attended by senior officials from RECPDCL, Reliance Industries Limited, and the Central Transmission Utility of India Limited.

The Lakadia B Power Transmission Project aims to enhance the transformation capacity at the Lakadia Pooling Station in Gujarat, facilitating the evacuation of power generated from renewable energy sources. The implementation period for the project is 24 months, with an estimated cost of approximately Rs 512.58 crore.
