New Delhi: REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) on Wednesday said that it has officially transferred the Rajasthan IV-A Power Transmission Limited, a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), to Apraava Energy Private Limited (AEPL). This strategic move is designed to support the evacuation of power from the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Zone Ph-IV, located in the Jaisalmer/Barmer Complex.

Apraava Energy Private Limited secured the role of Transmission Service Provider (TSP) through a Tariff-based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process managed by RECPDCL. Under this agreement, AEPL will develop the transmission project on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) basis.

The project includes the construction of a 765/400 kV, 4x1500 MVA & 400/220 kV, 5x500 MVA pooling station at Fatehgarh-IV, as well as a 400 kV line extending 184.56 kilometers, along with associated infrastructure. The project is expected to be completed within two years.

The formal handover was conducted by RECPDCL's CEO TSC Bosh to AEPL's Director (Business Development) Naveen Munjal in the presence of senior officials from RECPDCL, AEPL, and Central Transmission Utility of India Limited.
