RINL resumes Vizag TMT rebar production, boosts market availability

New Delhi/Visakhapatnam: Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, has resumed production of TMT rebars from mid-October, improving the availability of its branded steel products in the market.

The rebars, marketed under the brand name “Vizag TMT”, are used in house construction, infrastructure development and other construction projects. The resumption of rolling operations is expected to strengthen supplies across various sizes and meet demand from customers and dealers.

RINL said the renewed availability of Vizag TMT rebars has received a positive response from the market, with customers and dealers expressing satisfaction over the availability of the product.

Customers have also highlighted the quality of Vizag TMT rebars and their suitability for a range of construction applications.

The restart of production marks the return of one of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant’s key products to the market, supporting the requirements of the construction sector.
