RITES strengthens role in UP expressway projects with focus on quality and safety

New Delhi: RITES Limited on Thursday said it continues to play a key role in enhancing quality, safety and technical standards across major expressway projects in Uttar Pradesh, including the Purvanchal and Ganga expressways.

The company has provided project management consultancy (PMC) and external technical audit services for the Purvanchal Expressway, ensuring adherence to stringent construction and engineering benchmarks. The expressway, connecting Lucknow to Ghazipur, recently demonstrated dual-use capability as the Indian Air Force conducted operational exercises involving fighter and transport aircraft on a dedicated airstrip.

RITES is also engaged in safety audit services for over 312 km of the Ganga Expressway, a 594-km greenfield corridor being developed by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA). The scope includes development-stage assessments and construction-phase audits, along with safety workshops and periodic reporting.

Through its multi-pronged engagement spanning consultancy, technical audits and safety assurance, the company said it remains aligned with national infrastructure priorities, focusing on long-term sustainability and improved road safety standards.
