

New Delhi: Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from NMDC Limited for a railway infrastructure project related to the capacity expansion of Bacheli in Chhattisgarh. This information has been shared by the Railway PSU in regulatory filings to the stock exchnages on Friday.

According to the disclosure, the contract involves the development of a railway siding near Padapur village along with bridges, diversion of PWD roads, and associated civil works. The scope of work also includes preparation of the Feasibility Study Report (FSR), Detailed Project Report (DPR), detailed engineering, execution, and Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for the expansion project.
RVNL said that the total value of the contract stands at approximately Rs 758.07 crore, including GST at 18 percent.

The project has been awarded by a domestic entity and is scheduled to be executed over a period of 36 months.
The company further clarified that the contract falls under the normal course of business and that neither the promoter group nor group companies have any interest in the awarding entity. It also stated that the order does not constitute a related-party transaction.
