New Delhi: Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a Government of India enterprise, has announced that it has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a contract awarded by Western Railway.

The project involves strengthening signaling and telecom (S&T) maintenance activities by providing round-the-clock manpower for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of signaling and telecom gears installed at various locations in the Ahmedabad Division. The contract will be executed over a period of 24 months.

According to details shared by the company, the contract is valued at Rs 40.41 crore. It falls under the normal course of business for RVNL and is not related to any promoter or group company transactions.

The order, placed by Western Railway, is fully domestic in nature and governed by standard general contract conditions.
