New Delhi: Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) reported a strong performance in sales during November 2025, registering a 27 percent growth compared with the same month last year, reflecting sustained demand across key product segments and distribution channels.
Retail sales witnessed a sharp rise during the month, surging 69 percent to 0.14 million tonnes (MT) in November 2025 from 0.084 MT a year earlier. The growth was driven by higher sales of domestic saleable steel, increased road dispatches, and door deliveries from warehouses. During the month, SAIL also emerged as the country’s highest seller of TMT bars.
Building on the strong monthly momentum, the Maharatna steel major recorded robust cumulative sales of 12.7 MT during the April–November 2025 period, marking a 14 per cent increase over 11.1 MT achieved in the corresponding period last year.
SAIL attributed the resilient performance to a focused sales strategy and sustained market engagement by its teams, despite challenges such as global steel price pressures, demand volatility, trade policy uncertainties, and ongoing geopolitical tensions.
Retail channel sales during April–November 2025 stood at 0.97 MT, registering a 13 per cent growth over 0.86 MT in the same period last year. The company said the performance was further supported by ongoing nationwide brand promotion campaigns.
The company said it remains focused on strengthening performance and achieving higher levels of excellence in the period ahead.
