New Delhi: SCOPE and International Coaching Federation (ICF), USA, the world’s largest coaching organisation convened a Roundtable on "Coaching for National Transformation". SCOPE DG Atul Sobti, ICF CEO Magdalena Nowicka Mook and Robert Garcia, Vice President, CIO, ICF addressed the roundtable. The CMDs, Directors, SCOPE Executive Board Members and senior officers from major public sector organisations took part in the roundtable.

Various aspects of coaching, its growing need in today’s time and how PSEs can embed coaching in the organisational strategy to ensure its effectiveness were discussed during the meet. This roundtable marks a milestone in the long-term collaboration between SCOPE and ICF.

Highlighting the vision behind the initiative, Atul Sobti underscored SCOPE and ICF’s commitment to advancing governance excellence and national leadership capabilities. He emphasized that integrating coaching into organizational systems requires awareness, culture, and qualified coach availability. To achieve this, he added, SCOPE and ICF’s MoU outlines a time-bound plan to build awareness through roundtables, establish a coaching culture framework for PSEs and explore a platform to onboard qualified and appropriate national and international coaches.

Magdalena Nowicka Mook emphasized that coaching has evolved into a strategic, imperative modality and a vital "strategic accelerator of performance" for top leaders globally. Acknowledging the privilege of working with SCOPE, she highlighted the need of prioritizing well-being and core values to combat modern geopolitical and economic pressures.

Robert Garcia in his address advocated building a robust coaching culture to keep workforces fully engaged and championed human-centric coaching that shifts rigid top-down structures into highly collaborative environments.

Delivering the Concluding Remarks, Ayush Gupta reflected on the insights shared during the roundtable and underscored the importance of coaching for Public Sector for managing multiple expectations.

Through alliance with ICF, SCOPE aims to systematically integrate structured and professional coaching systems in the Public Sector while aligning it to ICF’s globally recognized gold standard.
