As part of the initiative, the two organisations convened a workshop on ‘Climate-Related Disclosures for PSEs’, following the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
The workshop was addressed by Atul Sobti, Director General, SCOPE, and Christopher Beaton, Director, Energy Program, IISD. The discussions focused on climate-related disclosures and their relevance to public sector enterprises as they navigate the energy transition.
The initiative, organised under the Practitioners’ Learning and Action Network on Energy Transition (PLANET) for PSUs, is designed to bring together PSEs, practitioners, experts and other stakeholders to deliberate on key issues related to the energy transition.
Described as a first-of-its-kind initiative, PLANET aims to facilitate knowledge-sharing, collaborative discussions and the development of practical solutions to address emerging challenges in the energy transition of public sector enterprises.
