According to an official statement issued on Thursday, the control rooms have been developed entirely in-house by SECL, demonstrating the company's technical capabilities, innovation and inter-departmental coordination. The facilities are equipped with real-time digital dashboards that continuously monitor truck movement, dispatch status and operational bottlenecks.
The initiative is designed to strengthen preventive vigilance by identifying irregularities and addressing systemic issues that could lead to delays, inefficiencies or reduced transparency in coal dispatch operations. Real-time monitoring is expected to enable early detection of bottlenecks, allowing timely interventions and improved coordination among stakeholders.

SECL said the new monitoring system is expected to reduce truck turnaround time (TAT), minimise delays in vehicle movement and improve the overall efficiency of coal dispatch and evacuation. The availability of real-time operational data will also support faster and more informed decision-making.
The company said the initiative aligns with the Central Vigilance Commission's (CVC) preventive vigilance framework and reflects the Vigilance Department's commitment to strengthening transparency, accountability and operational excellence.
By integrating digital technology with real-time monitoring, SECL aims to promote technology-driven improvements in mining logistics while enhancing the efficiency and transparency of its coal dispatch operations.
