SJVN bags 100 MW solar power project in e- Reverse auction organised by RUVNL: CMD

New Delhi: Nand Lal Sharma, CMD, SJVN informed in a tweet on Friday that SJVN's wholly-owned subsidiary SJVN Green Energy Limited has bagged a 100 MW Solar Power Project in Rajasthan in an e-reverse auction organised by Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (RUVNL).

"The tentative cost for the development of the project will be Rs 600 crores. The project will generate 252 MU in the 1st year and the total generation over a period of 25 years would be 5,866 MU. The project is expected to reduce 2,87,434 tonnes of carbon emission," tweeted Sharma.

Further, he informed that "SJVN has bagged 100 MW at a tariff of Rs 2.62 per unit on a Build Own and Operate basis in an Open Competitive Tariff bidding process. SJVN is in rapid expansion and capacity addition mode and with the allocation of this solar project, the project portfolio of the company stands at 47,179 MW."

The state-owned PSU in a regulatory filing also said that SJVN’s Renewable portfolio in Rajasthan has reached 1,100 MW which includes the 1,000 MW Bikaner Solar Project. The Bikaner project is in advanced stage of commissioning. "SJVN’s Renewable Project Portfolio now stands at 3,183 MW," the filing added.
