New Delhi: The senior leadership from SJVN, led by Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Sushil Sharma, met with Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Pema Khandu, to review the progress of the hydro power sector in the state. The meeting was also attended by SJVN Director (Finance & Personnel) Akhileshwar Singh, OSD to CMD Ajay Sharma and Head of Project (Etalin HEP) Rakesh Sehgal.
SJVN has been allotted five hydro power projects in the Dibang Valley District of Arunachal Pradesh, with a combined capacity of 5097 MW. During the meeting, Sushil Sharma provided an update on the development of these projects, highlighting the need for expedited clearances to ensure timely progress.
The projects, which are expected to require an investment of approximately Rs 60,000 crore, are critical to the region's energy infrastructure. The early commissioning of these projects is anticipated to bring significant dividends to all stakeholders involved.
The Chief Minister Pema Khandu assured the delegation of his full cooperation in facilitating the necessary clearances, underscoring the government's commitment to advancing the state's hydropower capabilities.
This collaboration between SJVN and the Government of Arunachal Pradesh marks a significant step towards harnessing the state's hydro power potential, which is vital for meeting the region's growing energy demands and contributing to the nation's renewable energy goals.
