New Delhi: The Statistics Ministry on Thursday said that it has signed a statement of intent with Grassroots Research and Advocacy Movement to engage two fellows to support innovative solutions through research.

The signing ceremony was graced by the presence of PR Meshram, Director General (Data Governance), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), an official statement said.

Basavaraju R Shreshta, Executive Director, Grassroots Research And Advocacy Movement, and Prasoon Verma, Director, Training Unit, Capacity Development Division, MoSPI, signed the statement of intent (SoI).

The collaborative initiative is a practical, collaborative platform between the MoSPI and Grassroots Research And Advocacy Movement (GRAAM), where highly motivated, research-driven individuals work alongside the ministry, it stated.

Through this programme, fellows will support ongoing or new initiatives, contribute to developing innovative solutions through research, and help address critical development, capacity-building, and governance challenges with rigour and innovation.
