New Delhi: Telecommunications Consultants India Ltd (TCIL) has paid a dividend of Rs 43.86 crore to the Government of India for the financial year 2025-26 on Thursday.

The government holds 100 percent equity in TCIL, a Miniratna public sector enterprise under the administrative control of the Department of Telecommunications.

TCIL Chairman and Managing Director Syed Tausif Abbas presented the dividend cheque to Union Communications and DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia in the presence of Department of Telecommunications Secretary Amit Agrawal, according to the Ministry of Communications.

TCIL reported operating revenue of Rs 3,335 crore and profit after tax of Rs 146 crore in 2025-26.

The company said its revenue has grown 115 percent over the last five years, from Rs 1,596 crore in FY22 to Rs 3,442 crore in FY26.

With the latest payout, TCIL's cumulative dividend paid to the government has reached Rs 4,146 crore. This includes a special dividend of Rs 3,728 crore paid in FY25.

Established in 1978, TCIL is engaged in telecommunications and information technology projects in India and overseas. The company has executed projects in more than 70 countries and currently has overseas operations in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Mauritius, Bhutan and Nepal.

TCIL is also implementing the Pan Africa e-Vidya Bharti and Arogya Bharti Network project across more than 15 African countries.

In India, the company is executing several government projects, including the Defence NFS project, Navy OFC projects, USOF-funded APSFL and Telangana Fiber projects, BBNL VSAT, BharatNet Phase-III in the Northeast, BSNL Super Edge Router project, the State Wide Area Network in Bihar, and data centre projects for the Indian Coast Guard and the Chhattisgarh government.
