The collaboration brings together TRSL's expertise in design, engineering and manufacturing of rolling stock with TuTr Hyperloop's capabilities in hyperloop propulsion, control systems and advanced mobility technologies, the company said in a statement.
Hyperloop is a proposed high-speed transportation system for passengers and freight, where autonomous pods travel at airline-like speeds through low-pressure tubes.
"This strategic collaboration with TuTr Hyperloop represents an important milestone towards engineering India's first hyperloop freight mobility platform," Titagarh Rail Systems Dy MD Prithish Chowdhary said.
He said the partnership aims to develop freight mobility solutions that set global benchmarks for speed, sustainability and engineering excellence, designed and developed in India.
