New Delhi: The Coal India Limited (CIL) Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) Brajesh Kumar Tripathy highlighted the critical importance of fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and excellence through the adoption of IT interventions. Speaking during a two-day visit to Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), Tripathy emphasized that vigilance is a shared responsibility of every individual in the organization, not just the vigilance department.

As part of his visit, Tripathy conducted inspections of key operational facilities within the Talcher coalfields. These included Lingaraj and Bharatpur Silos, the Balanda Ash Filling Site, and the Automated Truck Loading System at Bhubaneswari Area. He also engaged with senior officials and young executives during interactive sessions, where he underlined the importance of collective vigilance and ethical practices. To reinforce these values, Tripathy administered the Integrity Pledge to all participants.

Addressing the General Managers' Coordination Meeting at MCL headquarters, themed “Transforming Challenges into Opportunities,” Tripathy lauded MCL's remarkable growth trajectory, robust IT implementations, and forward-looking diversification plans. He acknowledged MCL’s significant contributions to achieving the national vision of a Vikshit Bharat by 2047 and praised the leadership of CMD Shri Uday Anant Kaole and his team for their consistent excellence in coal production, dispatch, infrastructure development, and diversification initiatives.

The meeting was attended by senior officials, including MCL CMD Uday Anant Kaole, Director (Personnel) Keshav Rao; Director (Technical/Operations, P&P) JK Borah; Director (Finance) A K Behura; and CVO PK Patel. Additionally, General Manager (Vigilance) of Coal India Ltd., all Area General Managers of MCL, HODs of the headquarters, and other senior officers were present.
