Addressing the gathering, Pande said WCL has consistently played a crucial role in strengthening the country’s energy security and is now embracing modern technology, innovation and sustainable development practices to prepare for future challenges and opportunities.
He said the newly designed logo, conceptualised and developed by WCL’s Multimedia Communication Team, reflects the company’s legacy, organizational strength and forward-looking vision.
Explaining the design elements, Pande said the artistic combination of the letters ‘W’ and ‘C’ signifies the company’s commitment to moving beyond conventional boundaries and exploring new possibilities. The red-coloured ‘C’ represents energy, enthusiasm and the legacy of Coal India Limited, while its resemblance to a hockey stick symbolises national pride, teamwork and dynamism.
He added that the modern design of the letter ‘L’ reflects stability, innovation and continuous progress.
Pande expressed confidence that the new corporate identity would strengthen WCL’s institutional, digital and branding presence and foster a renewed sense of pride and unity among employees, stakeholders and the mining community.
