
Nagpur: Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of state-run Coal India Limited, has been recognised as the highest taxpayer in the Nagpur region, contributing Rs 4,010.49 crore to the government’s tax basket.
The coal producer said in a release on Tuesday that it has received the highest taxpayer award in the region for eight years in a row.
The tax payment, made during the financial year 2024-25, includes cash and input tax credit utilisation, it added.
