NFL invites job applications for Director (Technical); apply before Dec 17

NFL Recruitment 2021: National Fertilizers Limited (NFL), a PSU under the Department of Fertilizers, has posted a job vacancy for the engagement of Director (Technical). Eligible candidates can apply for the job before December 17. The post is vacant since September 7.

Director (Technical) is a member of the board of directors and reports to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He/She acts as head of the projects/ technical/ operations division of the company. His/Her principal responsibility is to exercise control over the efficient operation of the plants of the company in a manner that would ensure optimum utilization of resources. He/She also acts as Principal Adviser of the company in all technical and operational matters.

Pay scale: Rs 1,60,000 – Rs 2,90,000 (IDA)

Age Limit: Minimum age limit 45 years and age of superannuation 60 years

The minimum length of service required in the eligible scale will be one year for internal candidates, and two years for others as on the date of the vacancy.

Employment status

The applicant must, on the date of application, as well as on the date of interview, be employed in a regular capacity – and not in a contractual/ad-hoc capacity – in one of the followings:-

 Preference would be given to candidates from listed companies.

(a) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional Director in the Board of a CPSE);
(b) Central Government including the Armed Forces of the Union and All India Services;
(c) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the annual turnover is *Rs 2,000 crore or more;
(d) Private Sector in company where the annual turnover is *Rs 2,000 crore or more.

(*The average audited annual turnover of three financial years preceding the calendar year in which the post is advertised shall be considered for applying the approved limits)

Qualification

The applicant should be an engineering graduate with the good academic record from a recognised university or institution.

Applicants with MBA or Post Graduate Diploma in management will have an added advantage.

Experience

The applicant should have technical or operational experience at a senior level of management in a large organization of repute, out of which at least five years during the last ten years should have been in the major production or manufacturing sector.

Experience in plant operation or maintenance or project management or technical services especially in the fertilizer industry is desirable.

Note: (i) Applicants from Central Government / All India Services should be holding a post of the level of Joint Secretary in Government of India or carrying an equivalent scale of pay on the date of application.

(ii) Applicants from the Armed forces of the Union should be holding a post of the level of Major General in the Army or equivalent rank in Navy/Air Force on the date of application.

Applicants from State Public Sector Enterprises/ Private Sector should be working at board level position or at least a post of the level immediately below the Board level on the date of application.
