NHPC looking for Director (Projects); apply before Feb 19

NHPC recruitment 2019: NHPC Limited, a Miniratna PSU under the administrative control of the Ministry of Power, has invited job applications through PESB for the post of Director (Projects). Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the job before February 19, 2020. Director (Projects) is a member of the Board of Directors and reports to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He/she is overall responsible for project planning, execution and contracting. He/she assists CMD to ensure proper administrative and technical control of the projects and their timely execution.

Pay scale: Rs 1,80,000/- Rs 3,40,000/-

Age Limit: Minimum age limit 45 years and age of superannuation 60 years

Employment status

The applicant must, on the date of application, as well as on the date of interview, be employed in a regular capacity – and not in a contractual/ad-hoc capacity – in one of the followings:

(a) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional Director in the Board of a CPSE),

(b) Central Government including the Armed Forces of the Union and All India Services, (c) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the annual turnover is *Rs 2000 crore or

(d) Private Sector in a company where the annual turnover is *Rs 2000 crore or more. Preference would be given to candidates from listed Companies.

(*The average audited annual turnover of three financial years preceding the calendar year in which the post is advertised shall be considered for applying the approved limits)

Qualifications:

The applicant should be an Engineering graduate preferably in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from a recognised university or institute with a good academic record. Applicants holding an MBA/Post Graduate Diploma in management will have an added advantage.

Experience:

The applicant should have adequate experience at a senior level in a large organisation of repute, out of which at least five years cumulative experience during the last ten years should have been in project planning or design or execution or management. Experience in Hydro-Power Sector is desirable.
