Nine newly appointed Union Ministers get Private Secretaries. Full list
New Delhi: The Central Government has cleared the appointment of Private Secretaries to as many as nine newly inducted Union Ministers. Here is the list of newly appointed Private Secretaries:
Dr Ajay Kumar (IAS) has been appointed as Private Secretary to the Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan in the Ministry of Education. According to a DoPT order, Kumar has been appointed to the post at the level of Director with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post and for the balance period of his tenure of five years as Private Secretary i.e. up to July 14, 2024, or on the co-terminus basis or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever event occurs the earlier. Kumar is a 2006-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Gujarat cadre.
Sachin Shinde (IAS) has been appointed as Private Secretary to the Union Minister for Law & Justice Kiren Rijiju) in the Ministry of Law & Justice. According to the Personnel Ministry order, Shinde has been appointed to the post at the level of Deputy Secretary with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post and for the balance period of his tenure of five years as Private Secretary i.e. up to June 18, 2023, or on the co-terminus basis or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever event occurs the earlier. Shinde is a 2008-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre.
Virendra Mittal (IAS) has been appointed as Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Gas Rameshwar Teli in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. He has been appointed to the post at the level of Director with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post and for the balance period of his tenure of five years as Private Secretary i.e. up to November 13, 2024, or on the co-terminus basis or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever event occurs the earliest.
Mukesh Kumar Bansal (IAS) has been appointed as Private Secretary to the Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar in the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. He has been appointed to the post at the level of Director, with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post and for the balance period of his tenure of five years as Private Secretary i.e. up to March 10, 2025, or on the co-terminus basis or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever event occurs the earliest. Bansal is a 2005-batch IAS officer of the Chhattisgarh cadre.
CRPF's DIG Girish Kumar has been appointed as Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Culture Arjun Ram Meghwal in the Ministry of Culture. He has been appointed to the post at the level of Director with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post and for the period of up to June 30, 2022, i.e. the date of his superannuation or on the co-terminus basis or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Ministry of until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Rasaal Dwivedi (IRS) has been appointed as Private Secretary to the Union Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. He has been appointed to the post. He has been appointed to the post at the level of Deputy Secretary with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post and for the balance period of his tenure of five years as Private Secretary i.e. up to June 15, 2026, or on the co-terminus basis or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Dwivedi is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of 2011-batch.
Raj Kumar Digvijay (IRS C&CE) has been appointed as Private Secretary to Minister of State for Rural Development & Panchayati Raj Giriraj Singh in the Ministry of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj. He has been appointed to the post at the level of Director with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post and for the balance period of his tenure of five years as Private Secretary i.e. up to May 15, 2023, or on the co-terminus basis or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Digvijay is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of 2004-batch.
Shukracharya K Jadhav (IRS IT) has been appointed as Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Railways Raosaheb Patil Danve in the Ministry of Railways. He has been appointed to the at the level of Director with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post and for the balance period of his tenure of five years as Private Secretary i.e. up to September 30, 2024, or on the co-terminus basis or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever event occurs the earliest.
Rakesh Kumar Mishra (IRPS) has been appointed as Private Secretary to the Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Parshottam Rupala. He has been appointed at the level of Director with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post for the period of 2 years 6 months & 17 days (i.e. balance period of his tenure of five years as Private Secretary) or on the co-terminus basis or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever event occurs the earliest. Mishra is an Indian Railway Protection Force (IRPF) officer.
