Hyderabad: The two days workshop on contracts and arbitration organised by NMDC Limited witnessed interactive sessions, experience sharing with the participants by the faculty to clear doubts pertaining to tendering and execution of contracts and arbitrations.

The workshop was inaugurated by Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVO) Sharad Kumar in the presence of NMDC's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) N Baijendra Kumar (IAS) and Directors of NMDC and CVO, NMDC.

The workshop was attended by more than 100 participants from PSUs such as BDL, ECIL, MIDHANI and NMDC and the workshop was facilitated by experts K Rama Subramania Pillai, FA & CAO (Rtd.), Southern Railway, ER Sreekumar, Executive Director (Rtd.), NMDC and A Preetam Kumar, General Manager (Rtd.), Materials Management, NMDC.

The chief guest of the valedictory function, NMDC's Director (Commercial) Alok Kumar Mehta said that the key to avoiding arbitrations is to have well defined tender clauses with enormous clarity and by improving the documentation level.

NMDC's CVO VVS Sreenivas summed up that this workshop would certainly equip the professionals dealing with contracts to make efficient decisions and guide them with the basic Do's and Don'ts while awarding & executing contracts.

Participants in their feedback said the workshop was an eye-opener and the sessions were meticulously crafted.
