NRDC signs technology licensing agreement with Zyna Medtech

New Delhi: National Research Development Corporation (NRDC), PSU under the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology has signed a technology licensing agreement for the manufacturing of "Non-Invasive screening system diagnostic kit for Neonatal Hyper-bilirubinaemia" with M/s Zyna Medtech Private Limited, Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. This technology is developed by SN Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, Kolkata, an Autonomous Research Institute under the Department of Science and Technology. The technology is protected under Indian patents. This information has been given by NRDC's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Dr H Purushotham.

The agreement has been signed and exchanged between Dr H Purushotham and Mr Suman Basaq (Vice President of M/s Zyna Medtech Private Limited) at the NRDC's headquarters, New Delhi on June 24, in presence of senior officials of NRDC and M/s Zyna Medtech.

Recently, NRDC had signed a technology licensing agreement for the manufacturing know-how of NavRakshak PPE suite with an Agra-based MSME. The NavRakshak PPE has been designed and developed principally by Dr Arnab Ghosh, who is also a Naval Doctor, incorporating his personal experiences in using the PPE for the comfort and protection of the doctors. The MSME entity is already manufacturing PPE kits in and around Agra and supplying to various hospitals and has now proposed an annual production target of over one million NavRakshak PPEs to meet the increased requirement of PPEs enforced by Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.
