NRL wins award for Best Governed Company 2020 by ICSI

• Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) awarded with the national award for excellence in corporate governance as a Best Governed Company (Unlisted Large)

•  The award constituted by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI)

New Delhi: Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) has been honoured with the national award for excellence in corporate governance as a Best Governed Company (Unlisted Large) by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) recently. The ICSI is the premier national professional body set up under an Act of Parliament. The institute also awarded NRL's Company Secretary HK Sarmah with the Governance Professional of the Year 2020.

The award comprising of a citation and trophy was presented to the NRL team headed by Managing Director SK Barua on January 13, 2021, at New Delhi by ICSI's President Ashish Garg. The ICSI award ceremony was joined virtually by Union Minister for Railways, Commerce & Industry Piyush Goyal, Aditya Birla Group's Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla and members of The ICSI.

The ICSI National Award in Corporate Governance recognises the best practices in corporate governance and promotes the culture of good governance and social responsibility in the corporate sector.
