New Delhi: National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC) and M/s Mitutoyo South Asia Private Limited have joined hands in the area of industrial metrology so as to provide skilled manpower to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) units and create employment by way of providing training on latest technological machines of coordinate measuring machine (CMM).

The MoU has been signed by NTSC's (Okhla) Centre Head OP Singh and Mitutoyo South Asia Private Limited's (Japan) Director Harrish Bajaj in the presence of NSIC's CMD Vijayendra (IAS) and NSIC's Director (Planning and Marketing) P Udayakumar on January 13 at the NSIC (Technical Services Centre), NSIC Campus, New Delhi. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Vijayendra (IAS) stated that NSIC is in tune with the needs of the changing needs of the world market and is committed to bringing the latest technology with world-class service to the MSME sector.

Under this MoU M/s Mitutoyo South Asia Private Limited will provide CMM machine (CRYSTA –APEX) with necessary probing kits and software and will create a Skill Development Centre in "Advanced Training Centre" of NSIC – Technical Services Centre (Okhla) wherein state of art training will be imparted to trainees and services to MSME units. This Skill Development Centre will bridge the gap between institution and industry in the area of industrial metrology.
