With the successful commissioning of entire capacities of 150 MW and 90 MW Devikot Solar PV Projects at Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, which were declared commercially operational with effect from Tuesday, NTPC's total RE segment reached the milestone of 1 GW.

Last year, NTPC doubled its renewable energy (RE) target for 2032 from 32 GW to 60 GW of solar and wind power. It is also planning to monetise 10-20 percent stake in NTPC Green Energy Limited with a view to bring in an investor for its ambitious expansion plan.
