New Delhi: NTPC group generation exceeds 300 billion units (BU) in the current financial year (FY 2020-21). This is higher by 6.9 percent compared to the generation in the same period of last year.
The NTPC Limited's Group companies have generated 300.8 Billion Units (BU) till March 19 in the current financial year. This is higher by 6.9 percent compared to the generation in the same period of last year, reinforcing the group's commitment and excellence in the operation.
The highest group generation in a single day was 1192 MU on March 19, with NTPC coal units operating at an average 96 percent loading factor.
Earlier, the power PSU had achieved its highest daily gross generation of 977.07 million units (MU) on July 28. NTPC's total generation includes power generated from its subsidiary and joint venture (JV) companies. The Group also had registered 13.3 percent growth in gross power generation in July 2020.
The present installed capacity of NTPC Group is 64,880 MW (including 11,755 MW through JVs/Subsidiaries) comprising of 47 NTPC Stations (24 Coal based stations, 7 gas-based stations, 1 Hydro station, 1 small hydro, 13 Solar PV and 1 Wind-based Station) and 25 Joint Venture stations (9 coal-based, 4 gas-based, 8 hydro, 1 small hydro 2 Wind and 1 Solar PV).
