NTPC posts marginal rise in net profit at Rs 2,600 cr

Sales for Q1 FY2019-20 rose by 6.55 percent to Rs 24,192.59 crores, up from Rs 22,703.60 crores in Q1 FY2018-19

New Delhi: State-run NTPC posted a 0.57 percent rise in net profit year-on-year at Rs 2,602.79 crores compared with Rs 2,588.14 crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

Sales for Q1 rises 6.55%

Sales for the June quarter of financial year 2019-20 rose by 6.55 percent to Rs 24,192.59 crores, up from Rs 22,703.60 crores in the first quarter of the previous fiscal year. EBITDA for Q1 FY2019-20 stood at Rs 6,452 crore, whereas margin came in at 26.70 percent. Shares of NTPC slipped 0.72 percent to close at Rs 123.80 on Friday.
