NTPC receives Rs 45 crore as 2nd interim dividend for FY22 from its JV NSPCL

New Delhi: NTPC SAIL Power Company Limited (NSPCL) has paid a second interim dividend of Rs 45 crore (net of TDS) to NTPC Limited for the financial year 2021-22 towards NTPC Limited’s 50 percent share. NSPCL is a joint venture company between NTPC Limited & Steel Authority of India (SAIL), with 50:50 percent equity shares.

NSPCL’s CEO Debasish Chattopadhyay presented the cheque to NTPC’s Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Gurdeep Singh on December 29. NTPC’s Director (Finance) AK Gautam, NSPCL’s Chairman & Director (HR) of NTPC DK Patel, NTPC’s Director (Operations) Ramesh Babu V, NTPC’s Director (Commercial) CK Mondol, NTPC’s Director (Projects) UK Bhattacharya, Director (NSPCL) & General Manager (Internal Audit) of NTPC Alka Saigal, NTPC’s Company Secretary Nandini Sarkar and NSPCL’s CFO NK Gupta were also present on the occasion.

The interim dividend is also being paid to the other joint venture partner, SAIL, on its shareholding of 50 percent in NSPCL. The total interim dividend paid by the company to its promoters for the Financial Year 2021-22 is Rs 150 crore.

NSPCL has paid a total dividend of Rs 1,540 crore since its inception.

NTPC Limited has also received Rs 135.09 crore as second interim dividend from NTPC Tamil Nadu Energy Company Limited (NTECL) for FY 2021-22.
