New Delhi: Oil India Limited (OIL), India’s second-largest national exploration & production company, celebrated the 72nd Republic Day of the country, with patriotic fervour, at its corporate office in Noida. OIL's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Sushil Chandra Mishra unfurled the national flag amidst the singing of the national anthem by OIL’s employees and their families, in the presence of members on the board and senior officials of OIL.

Mishra, commenced his address by paying his tributes to the martyrs, highlighted the importance of this day and enumerated on how energy soldiers of OIL despite COVID-19, low crude oil prices and other difficulties, ensured uninterrupted supplies of crude oil. Also, the exploration and development activities at various OIL blocks bagged under OALP started before schedule. Thus, indicating OIL’s commitment towards Hon’ble PM’s vision of Atma Nirbhar Bharat by securing energy security for the nation.

He also congratulated Mouma Das, an OILIndian and renowned table tennis player on being conferred with the prestigious Padma award by the government of India.
