New Delhi: Pallavi Singh Prakash (IRPS) has been selected for the appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT). According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), she has been selected for the appointment under the central staffing scheme for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. "She may kindly be relieved of her duties immediately with instructions to take up her new assignment in the Department of Personnel & Training," the order further added.
Pallavi is an Indian Railway Personnel Service (IRPS) officer of the 2008-batch. She was recommended for the central deputation by the Ministry of Railways.
Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) is concerned with the formulation of policy and the watchdog of the Government ensuring that certain accepted standards and norms, as laid down by it, are followed by all ministries and departments in the recruitment, regulation of service conditions and posting transfers and deputation of personnel as well as other related issues. It solely controls the cadres of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and the Central Secretariat Service (CSS).
