PESB picks Hira Nand for NFL’s Director (Finance) post

New Delhi: Hira Nand is set to be the next Director (Finance) of National Fertilizers Limited (NFL), a Miniratna PSU under the administrative control of the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Friday. He is currently serving as Executive Director (F&A) in the same organisation.

Nand has been recommended for the post from a list of six candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on Friday. There were a total of two candidates, including Nand, from NFL and one candidate each from National Seeds Corporation (NSC), Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited (NMDC), Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (HPGCL) and Lanco Anpara Power Limited.

As Director (Finance) of NFL, Nand will be a member of the board of directors of NFL and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be overall in-charge of finance, accounts and funds management of the organisation and will be responsible for evolving and formulating policies relating to finance and accounts as well as implementation.
