PESB recommends Vishwanath Suresh for NMDC’s Director (Commercial) post

New Delhi: Vishwanath Suresh is set to be the next Director (Commercial) of NMDC Limited, a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Steel. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Monday. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director (Coal Imports and Corporate Materials Management) in Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL), a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Steel.

Suresh has been selected for the post of Director (Commercial) of NMDC from a list of seven candidates who were interviewed by the PESB board in its selection meeting held on November 28. There were a total of six candidates on the list who were from NMDC and two candidates, including Suresh, were from SAIL.

Suresh is an MBA (Marketing) from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela. He has been associated with SAIL for more than three decades.

As Director (Commercial) of NMDC, Suresh will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be responsible for marketing and materials management in the company.
