PGCIL Recruitment 2021: Power Grid has released a job notification for the engagement of 21 Engineers at its Northern-II region. According to the official notification, there are 26 new diploma trainee vacancies wherein selected candidates will initially be engaged and paid Rs 27,500 per month, after which they may be placed as Junior Engineer Grade IV at S1 level in the supervisory category on the pay scale of 25,000 to 1,17,500.

Name of the posts: Diploma Trainee (Electrical) and Diploma Trainee (Civil)

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for Diploma Trainee (Electrical) should have full time regular three years diploma in Electrical/ Electrical (Power)/ Electrical and Electronics/ Power Systems Engineering/ Power Engineering (Electrical) from a recognised technical board or institute with minimum 70 percent marks for UR/ OBC(NCL)/EWS and pass marks for SC and PwD and Ex-SM candidates.

While candidates applying for Diploma Trainee (Civil) should have full time regular three years diploma from in Civil Engineering recognised technical board or institute with minimum 70 percent marks for UR/OBC(NCL)/EWS candidates.

Candidates with higher technical qualifications like BTech, BE, MTech or ME with or without diplomas are not eligible to apply. Applicants will be selected for the posts based on their performance in the written or computer-based test.

Maximum age limit: 27 years for UR, 30 years for OBC (NCL)

Pay scale

The selected candidates will initially be engaged and paid Rs 27,500 per month, after which they may be placed as Junior Engineer Grade IV at S1 level in Supervisory category on the pay scale of Rs 25,000 to Rs 1,17,500.

How to Apply?

Interested and eligible candidates will have to submit online applications on the official Power Grid website before September 18. Apart from SC, ST, PwD, Ex-SM, DEx-SM and departmental candidates, all other applicants will have to pay a non-refundable online application fee of Rs 300. Applicants are advised to take a printout of the submitted online application and note down the user ID and password generated at the time of online registration. Those who wish to apply are advised to go through the official notification in detail prior to submitting applications.
