IOB celebrates 78th Independence Day with patriotic fervor

New Delhi: Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), a leading public sector bank, celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and pride at its Central Office. The event commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by Ajay Kumar Srivastava, Managing Director & CEO, at 08:00 hours, accompanied by the National Anthem and followed by a grand parade.

The celebration was further enriched by a display of unity, as Srivastava led the gathering in taking the Pledge of National Integration. In a special recognition, the bank’s volleyball team was lauded for their exceptional performances in various state-level tournaments held in Coimbatore, Bargur, Thindal, Chennai, and the Hockey Team in Madurai.

Addressing the gathering, Srivastava praised the bank’s employees for demonstrating their patriotism by participating in the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign and hoisting the national flag at their homes.

The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Joydeep Dutta Roy and Dhanaraj T, Executive Directors, and Rajeev Kumar, Chief Vigilance Officer. Several General Managers and Senior Executives of IOB were also present, reflecting the deep sense of pride and enthusiasm that permeated the celebration.

The bank continues to lead with innovative digital solutions, enhancing customer experience through offerings such as Tab Banking, My Account My Name, Instant Safe Deposit Locker through a web-based portal, Instant Account Number Portability, and Instant Jansuraksha Policy Enrolment.
