New Delhi: THDC India Limited, a distinguished entity in the Power Sector, commemorated 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and fervour at its Corporate Office in Rishikesh, as well as across all its Project sites and Unit offices, nationwide. The event was a reflection of the organization’s commitment to the Nation and its enduring spirit of Unity and Patriotism.
Speaking on the occasion, THDC CMD extended heartfelt greetings to all THDC employees and their family members. Vishnoi paid homage for the extraordinary sacrifices and indomitable spirit of India’s freedom fighters, whose contributions have laid the foundation for the Nation’s current stature on the Global Stage. Vishnoi stated that the Independence we celebrate today is the fruit of our freedom fighters' relentless struggle and unwavering commitment.
This historical legacy, he noted, is a source of inspiration and a guiding force for the future generations. He underlined the pivotal role that each member of the THDCIL family plays in the realization of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary goal of “Viksit Bharat@2047” and expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the hard work, dedication, and passion that the employees consistently bring to their roles in contributing to the nation’s progress.
Vishnoi mentioned that previously with the historic commissioning of the country’s biggest Tehri Dam, soon THDC is poised to dedicate the Country’s largest 1000 MW PSP, besides the 1320 MW Khurja Super Thermal Power Project, to the Nation.
He also reflected on the remarkable journey of THDC, noting that the organisation continues to chart an impressive growth trajectory, underscored by its strategic initiatives and successful execution of key projects. He emphasized that THDC’s progress is not just a Corporate achievement but a significant contribution to the multi-faceted development of the nation, particularly in the areas of energy security, sustainable development, and infrastructure enhancement.
Vishnoi earnestly urged all the THDCians, to gear themselves, for meeting the challenges being faced by our Energy sector, by prompt decision-making, enabling timely completion of the Projects.
He encouraged all employees to take pride in their contributions, recognizing that the progress achieved so far in various Projects is a live testament to their dedication, expertise, and resilience. He also acknowledged numerous HR initiatives undertaken to facilitate conducive employee relations during the last year for significant progress across its projects and units.
THDC's Director (Personnel) Shallinder Singh hoisted the National Flag at the Corporate Office in Rishikesh, in the esteemed presence of Director (Technical) Bhupender Gupta along with other senior officers of THDC, followed by address to all the assembled employees and their family members.
The occasion concluded with a plantation drive, where THDC’s management planted saplings, symbolizing the company’s commitment to a greener future.
