Adhipnath Palchaudhuri set to be next CMD of Balmer Lawrie

New Delhi: Adhipnath Palchaudhuri is set to be next Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Balmer Lawrie & Co. Limited. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Thursday. Presently, he is serving as Director (Services Business) in the same organisation.

Palchaudhuri has been recommended for the post of CMD of Balmer Lawrie from a list of nine candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on May 9. Out of nine candidates, five candidates were from Balmer Lawrie, two from Indian Railways and one each from SAIL and Indian Oil.

Palchaudhuri holds a B.E (E&C) from IIT Roorkee and a PGDM from IIM Lucknow. A seasoned professional he has work experience of over 25 years. Prior to assuming charge as Director, was heading the Sales & Marketing function of SBU: Industrial Packaging in the company.

Palchaudhuri joined Balmer Lawrie in 2012 and has led the ERP implementation across the organisation. He has also significantly contributed in the areas of sales & marketing and supply chain management in the company. Prior to joining Balmer Lawrie, he has worked with a wide variety of reputed organisations in the IT Services / Consulting domains in India and abroad.
