New Delhi: (PESB Recommendation) Amit Kumar Singh (IRTS) is set to be the next Director (Marketing and Corporate Planning) of Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. He has been recommended by a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Wednesday. Singh is an Indian Railways Traffic Service (IRTS) officer. He is currently serving as Senior Deputy General Manager in the Indian Railways. The Director (M&CP) post in CWC is vacant after SC Mudgerikar, who was holding the charge, took over as CMD of RCF.
Singh has been recommended for the post of Director (M&CP) of CWC from a list of six candidates who were interviewed by the selection panel. Out of six, there were three candidates who were from BSNL and others were from Airports Authority of India (AAI) and Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR).

Singh is a dedicated professional with extensive experience of 33 years in management of Railway operations & commercial functions, multi-modal transportation, urban transportation and contract management in large organisations making optimum utilization of resources through inter-disciplinary coordination.
Singh has done his Graduation in Commerce (B.Com) and Master of Commerce (M.Com) from Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) of Delhi University. After completing his education, he joined Western Railway as Senior Divisional Operations Manager in 1997. Later in January 2001, Singh was promoted as Deputy Chief Operations Manager and subsequently as Senior Divisional Commercial Manager and Deputy Chief Commercial Manager in Western Railways. He had served as Deputy Chief Operations Manager in Indian Railways and Chief General Manager in CONCOR.
