New Delhi: Meenaxi Rawat (IES) will continue be serving as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) for two more years as the Central Government has approved the proposal for her extension on May 20.

According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), the Competent Authority has approved the proposal for extension of deputation tenure of Meenaxi Rawat (IES) for a further period of two years beyond September 14, 2024 i.e. up-to September 14, 2026 or until further orders whichever is earlier.

Rawat is an Indian Economic Service (IES) officer of 1993 batch in the rank of Additional Secretary in Government of India. She has been serving as CVO of BPCL since September 15, 2021.

Rawat has served in the Government of India for 29 years in Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Railway Board, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Labour & Department of Atomic Energy in the areas of Finance, Budget, Project Appraisal, Consumer welfare, Labour laws, Industrial and Public Policy. She holds M.A. & M. Phil in Economics from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur and MBA from the University of Hull, United Kingdom.
