

New Delhi/Kolkata: State-owned Coal India Limited (CIL) has appointed Rajiva Kumar Singh as Executive Director (Exploration) following his promotion, with effect from December 29, the company said in a regulatory filing on Monday .
The appointment places Singh in senior management, one level below the Board of Directors, CIL added.
Singh is a senior geologist with over three decades of experience in geological exploration and resource evaluation. An alumnus of Science College, Patna, and Patna University, he holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) and an M.Sc. in Geology.
Over the past decade, he has held key leadership roles at Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited (CMPDIL) and has served as Nodal Officer to the Ministry of Coal for promotional and detailed exploration initiatives .
Coal India is a Maharatna public sector undertaking and the world’s largest coal-producing company.
