CPCL MD, 9 others in race for Indian Oil's Chairman post

New Delhi: Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited’s (CPCL) Managing Director (MD) Arvind Kumar is among the 10 candidates who are competing with each other to become the next Chairman of India's largest oil company Indian Oil Corporation (IOC).

According to an official notice, Kumar and nine others will be interviewed by the government head-hunter Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) on May 16. PESB will recommend a candidate for the Indian Oil Chairman post. The current Chairman, Shrikant Madhav Vaidya, is due to superannuate on August 31 this year.

The candidates interviewed by the PESB includes five executive directors of Indian Oil, Container Corporation of India Ltd (CONCOR) Director (Finance) Manoj Kumar Dubey and NMDC Limited Director (Finance) Amitava Mukherjee. Two Indian Railway Services officers — Yatendra Kumar and Ranjan Prakash Thakur — were also interviewed by the PESB.
