New Delhi: Arvind Kumar is set to be next Director (Refineries) of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG). He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Wednesday. Presently, he is serving as Managing Director Managing Director (MD) & CEO of Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL).
Kumar has been recommended for the post of Director (Refineries) of Indian Oil from a list of 12 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on April 10. Out of 12 candidates, nine candidates were from Indian Oil, two from BPCL and one each from CPCL and Engineers India Limited (EIL).
Kumar holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master's Degree in Business Administration with specialization in Operations Management. He has got more than three decades of experience in the areas of Engineering, Project Management, Material & Contract Management and in Plant Operations & Maintenance.
As Director (Refineries) of Indian Oil, Kumar will be a member of the board of directors and will report to the Chairman. He will exercise overall control on refineries from headquarters for achieving the highest standard of efficiency in the operation.
