Dr Kalyan Sagar Nippani set to be next Director (HR) of BSNL

New Delhi: Dr Kalyan Sagar Nippani is set to be next Director (HR) of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), a PSU under the Department of Telecommunications (DoT). He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Tuesday. Presently, he is serving as Principal General Manager in the same organisation.

Nippani has been recommended for the post of Director (HR) of BSNL from a list of 11 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on July 25. Out of 11 candidates, six candidates were from BSNL, two candidates from Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) and one each from NBCC (India) Limited, Indian Telecommunication Service and Haldia Petrochemicals Limited.

As Director (HR) of BSNL, Nippani will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be responsible for all matters relating to the development and effective utilization of human resources of the company and plays a key role in the formulation of human resource development policies and strategies and their implementation.
