Ganti Venkat Kiran set to be next CMD of KIOCL

New Delhi: Ganti Venkat Kiran is set to be next Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of KIOCL Limited, a PSU under the Ministry of Steel. He has been recommended for the post of CMD of KIOCL by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on January 13. Presently, he is serving as Director (Production & Projects) in the same organisation.

Kiran has been recommended for the post of CMD of KIOCL by the PESB panel in its selection meeting held on January. Kiran was the only candidates, who was interviewed by the selection panel.

Kiran is a Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Bhopal and has cleared the intermediate level exam conducted by the The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (erstwhile The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India). Previously he worked with Pro Minerals Pvt. Ltd. (Aditya Birla Group), Essar Steel Ltd. (presently Arcelor Mittal Nippon Steel India) & BPRL (Stemcor Group), Odisha.

He joined KIOCL Limited in the year 2019 as GM (Projects & Technical Services) and later promoted as CGM (Projects). He is having over 33 years of experience in steel sector. He has worked in construction of Pellet Plants and had experience in operations & maintenance of Pellet Plant and Beneficiation Plant.
